WSJ Article on Flu Shots: Perfect Example of Fake News!

My friend Brad texted me during the Michigan-Michigan State football game yesterday telling me I have to read the flu shot article in the WSJ and write about it. Well, I got home from the BIG Michigan victory (Go Blue!) and promptly read the November 16, 2019 article. This article must have been supplied to the WSJ writer by Big Pharma as this was nothing more than a promotional spot for why we should be vaccinated against the flu.
Let me give you my opinion and the true facts behind the flu vaccine then you can make an informed choice on whether to receive the flu vaccination or not. When you decide, please post your comments on my blog or email me at [email protected] I love hearing from my readers whether you agree with

Measles Amnesia is Giving Me a Headache!

Measles has become the cause célèbre for conventional medicine and mainstream media in order to convince us that we need the measles vaccine. Furthermore, the Powers-That-Be are using everything they can about measles to stop any anti-vaccination talk.
Let’s get some FACTS straight! Measles can be deadly. So can chickenpox. However, for the vast majority of us—over 99%–measles (and chickenpox) is not deadly. For the person who gets it, it is an annoyance that lasts about a week. Then, there is life-long immunity from measles (and the same is true with chickenpox). However, a complication from the measles virus can occur. Even death can occur. Every death is tragic and we should do all we can to avoid suffering such a fate from

Steroid Injections Are Bad Medicine

In medical school, I was trained to inject steroids into arthritic joints. The steroids did provide some relief from arthritic pain. I was taught that three injections per joint were safe and would cause no harm.
Well, chalk that up to being taught another wrong thing in medical school.
A study in the October 15, 2019 edition of Radiology looked at data from over 450 patients who received intra-articular steroid injections for osteoarthritis at Boston University. The researchers found steroid joint injections speed up arthritis and worsen joint destruction.
“We are now seeing these {steroid} injections can be very harmful to the joints with serious complications such as osteonecrosis, subchondral insufficiency fracture, and rapid

Should You Get A Flu Shot?

October 21, 2019

Just as you can be sure that the sun rises in the East and sets in the West, you can count on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to encourage everybody to receive the flu vaccine.
Folks, this is flu season. Here is the 2019 CDC campaign to convince us all to the get the flu shot:

Folks, the ineffectiveness of the flu vaccine was nothing new—unfortunately, this is the norm. You see, the flu virus mutates every year and to expect the flu vaccine to match the circulating strains is ridiculous.
And, the flu vaccine is not a benign medical intervention. There are side effects to receiving the flu vaccine including serious neurological problems like Guillain-Barre syndrome. The flu vaccine is the most compensated vaccine for vaccine injuries from the

Alzheimer’s Drugs: Toxic Failures

October 14, 2019

Aricept is a commonly prescribed drug for treating Alzheimer’s disease. However, like all the Alzheimer’s drugs, Aricept does not work for the vast majority who take it. In my opinion, for the few who achieve some benefit with Aricept, the positive effects are minute and fleeting.
An article on (9.19.2019) was titled, “Alzheimer’s Drug Linked to Potentially Serious Muscle Condition.” The article reported on new data that found Aricept is associated with a 2x higher risk for hospital admission for rhabdomyolysis.   Rhabdomyolysis is a life-threatening condition in which muscle cells break down which can lead to kidney failure and death. But wait, there is more! Unfortunately, there are many other potentially serious

Why Acetaminophen Should be Minimized or Avoided

August 21, 2019

Acetaminophen is sold over-the-counter in such products such as Tylenol® and more than 100 other over-the-counter products.  Nearly every American is familiar with acetaminophen as it is recommended in Big Pharma ads to be used for pain and fever.  The ads make it seem like the drug is safe to use.
Acetaminophen is not safe.
In fact, acetaminophen can be very toxic to the liver, even with low doses.  You see, acetaminophen, once in the body is metabolized in the liver to N-acetyl-p-benzoquinone imine (NAPQI).  Glutathione, the main detoxifying substance in the liver is utilized to break down NAPQI because NAPQI is toxic to the liver.  The more acetaminophen one takes, the more NAPQI is formed, and the more glutathione is needed

From Vaccines to Statins

July 10, 2019

An article (jamacardiology_navar_2019_vp_190009) in the June, 2019 edition of JAMA Cardiology was titled, “Fear-Based Medical Misinformation and Disease Prevention: From Vaccines to Statins. In this article,[i] the author states “fake medical news” as the reason that patients are exhibiting hesitancy about utilizing statins and vaccines.
The author correctly points out that in 1963, before the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine was licensed, there were 3-4 million people who contracted measles each year. The immunization campaign which utilizes the MMR vaccine has decreased the incidence of measles. The author blames vaccine refusers for fueling outbreaks of measles. Yes, the recent outbreak in measles has been primarily in the

Cholesterol Lowering Medications and Vaccines Are Safe?

May 31, 2019

In part I of this series, I wrote about why Repatha should be pulled from the marketplace. In that article, I showed you that both Repatha and the fake placebo used in the study were both associated with nearly 25% serious adverse effects including hospitalization, death, and disability. Recall that in the fake placebo, polysorbate 20 was a main ingredient. I surmised that perhaps the high rate of serious adverse effects in the fake placebo was due to the polysorbate 20. Please refer to my original blog from May 3rd, 2019 “New Cholesterol-Lowering Medications Associated with 25% SEVERE Adverse Effects!”
Polysorbate is used widely in medicines as a dispersing agent—it helps the medicine absorb better. Polysorbate 80 is also found

New Cholesterol-Lowering Medications

May 9, 2019

I have always enjoyed having medical students in my office as I like teaching. This week, I had a pleasant 4th year medical student, Andrea. The first day Andrea showed up to my office, I handed her a New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) article about statin drugs.[i] This is an important article that gave statin drugs the indication to use in a healthy population. I asked her to explain how the authors of the article came to their conclusions and I requested that she do her own statistical analysis and report back to me. When I reviewed the article with Andrea I showed her a different way to look at and dissect the article. Specifically, I pointed out how the conclusions in the article are not supported by the data in the

A National Emergency of Measles Infections?

April 22, 2019

The main stream media and the rest of the Powers-That-Be have been leading the charge that we have a measles epidemic this year. You would think that tens of thousands must be infected and dying from measles. Well, you would think wrong. According to the CDC, from January 1 to April 11, 2019 there have been 555 cases of measles across the US. Keep in mind, there are over 323,000,000 citizens in the US. In 2010 there were 667 cases of measles. And, in 2010, there was no national emergency called with draconian, criminal penalties for the failure to vaccinate against measles.
Is measles contagious? Of course it is. Is measles deadly? Of course it is, but not in the USA for the vast majority of us. In fact, death from measles

Iodine Deficiency 2019

February 27, 2019

In medical school, I was taught that iodine deficiency was a thing of the past. It took me a short time into my holistic practice of medicine to realize that what I was taught about iodine was incorrect. In fact, I have been writing about iodine and its importance to health for nearly 15 years. When I started researching iodine in the late 1990s, I was shocked to discover that iodine deficiency was still occurring across the United States. When I began testing my patient’s iodine levels I found the vast majority—over 97%–were iodine deficient and most were severely iodine deficient.
At that time, I asked myself, “How and why could this be happening?” As I researched more and more about iodine the answers became clear. Iodine

NY Times Editorial on Vaccines

January 22, 2019

(Note: My wife vetoed my initial headline: Failing New York Times Op-Ed Full of Fake Vaccine News.  She claims that my sense of humor does not translate to all.)
The lead New York Times (NYT) editorial today is titled, “Know The Enemy.” According to the NYT, the “enemy” is anyone who questions the safety and efficacy of any vaccine.
I guess that makes me the enemy. I thought I was a board-certified physician trying to read and decipher the research on vaccines to help guide my patients on how to make their best health care decisions.
The NYT states, “Leading global health threats typically are caused by the plagues and perils of low-income countries — but vaccine hesitancy is as American as can be.” Both parts of that sentence

More Fake Flu News

January 9, 2019

The headline in the January 5, 2019 edition of the Wall Street Journal reads “Six Feet, 48 Hours, 10 Days:  How to Avoid the Flu.”[i]  This article, like nearly all main stream media flu articles was written to scare the reader into getting the flu vaccine.  A with most mainstream medical articles about the flu, it is filled with fake news.  Let’s analyze the article.
The author starts off by writing, “After a slow start, the flu season has taken off.”   Between Christmas and New Years Day, there was a marked rise in flu illnesses across the U.S.
So far, no fake news to report.
However, as with most main stream media influenza stories, the writer misstates the true numbers of Americans who die from the flu.  “In a mild year,

Why You Should Avoid Another Lousy Flu Drug

December 12, 2018

A new medication has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration to treat influenza.  Xofluza (Baloxavir).  It is an antiviral medication approved in October, 2018, by the FDA to treat infections from influenza A and B.  Studies have shown it may reduce the duration of influenza symptoms by about 24 hours.
Xofluza is the latest anti-influenza medication approved by the FDA.   The earlier anti-flu medications are neuraminidase inhibiters.  I wrote to you about the failure of this class of drugs in a previous blog post (  Tamiflu, working by a different medication than Xofluza, was shown to decrease influenza symptoms by about 21 hours.
As I said in that earlier post, “Folks, I

US Life Expectancy Declines Again

December 10, 2018

The  November 29, 2018 headline in the Wall Street Journal states, “U.S. Life Expectancy Declines Further.”  The article reported that life expectancy for Americans fell for the third year in a row.  The writer blamed the fall on the increase in suicides and rise in deaths from opioid drugs.  Furthermore, the rise was correlated to an increase in deaths from influenza, pneumonia and diabetes.
Life expectancy is one of the best ways to measure a nation’s prosperity.  The writer stated, “The 2017 data paint a dark picture of health and well-being in the {United States}…”
For over 20 years, I have been lecturing and writing about how we are wasting so much of our money on a failed health care system.  We currently spend the most on

More Fake Flu News From the CDC

October 9, 2018

The Powers-That-Be, including the CDC and the mainstream media, are using these estimates to promote the flu shot for the upcoming flu season.
Keep in mind, the 80,000 deaths and 900,000 hospitalizations are ESTIMATES.  And, I can state, with authority, that they are very poor estimates.
You see, deaths from flu are always estimates because if the Powers-That-Be reported the true numbers of deaths from actual influenza infections, the numbers would be much lower and people would not be so inclined to receive a flu shot.
How does the CDC overestimate the number of flu deaths?  The CDC accomplishes this by reporting a combined pneumonia and influenza death rate.  Every time I try to analyze this data, I know I will have to spend at

Academy of Pediatrics Looks at Food Additives

September 15, 2018

4 Years After CDC Whistleblower Comes Forward

August 22, 2018

It was four years ago, August 2014, that a senior CDC scientist—Dr. William Thompson–claimed whistleblower protection by claiming that the CDC had committed fraud by hiding and manipulating data that showed the MMR vaccine was associated with a higher risk of autism.   In August, 2014, I wrote,  “Now, there may be proof that the CDC not only knew about the link between the MMR vaccine and autism but they changed the data in a landmark 2004 study to hide the damning data. What did the heads of the CDC do when they were notified of this fraud? They altered the data and reported in 2004 (1) that there was no association between autism and the MMR vaccine. Who wrote this article? William Thompson, PhD, the very same whistleblower,

Statin Drugs and the Horror of Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS)

July 2, 2018

ALS ranks up there as one of the worst illnesses.  Also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, ALS is a rapidly progressing neurological disease where nerve cells in the muscles are attacked.  This leads to progressive weakness and disability.  Eventually, a patient with ALS will be unable to move his/her arms and legs and, in later stages, the breathing muscles are affected.   Death usually occurs from two to five years after the diagnosis.
As a physician, I hate seeing an ALS patient.  Seeing a patient with ALS makes me angry and upset.    There are no known effective treatments for this condition.  Over the last few decades, ALS is occurring more frequently and in younger patients.
A Canadian article about ALS states, “{Physicians are}

Zika Schmika

January 8, 2018

Did you ever wonder what happened to Zika?  You should, as our Government gave the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) $1.1 billion to study and develop a vaccine against Zika.   Where did that money go and what happened to Zika?
Recall that the Zika virus was making national headlines in 2016 as the CDC and other Powers-That-Be were claiming that Zika was responsible for the microcephaly epidemic that was occurring in one area of Brazil.  Here is a sample of what the media had to say about Zika in 2016:
I know many of you do not like the term ‘fake news’. (Trust me, I hear about it every time I use it, especially by my much older sister.)  But, I can find no better way to describe the mainstream reporting  Zika coverage by

New Hypertension Guidelines

November 25, 2017

On Tuesday, November 14, 2017, the front page of the New York Times was headlined, “New High Blood Pressure Norm to Affect Millions.”  Similar headlines were plastered across the internet and in every major news outlet.
The NYT article explained, “…the nation’s leading heart experts issued new guidelines for high blood pressure that means tens of millions more Americans will meet the criteria for the condition and will need to change their lifestyles or take medicines to treat it.”  The new guidelines were based on an ongoing analysis of the 2015 Sprint study.
The Big Pharma Cartel must be celebrating as they now have millions of more customers.
When I was in medical school, we were taught that blood pressure naturally goes up with

How To Heal Your Leaky Gut

October 18, 2017

I am pleased to announce my newest book, Heal Your Leaky Gut:  The Hidden Cause of Many Chronic Diseases.  This is my fifteenth book.  I wrote this book to offer hope and a plan to those who suffer from poor health.
In my daily practice of medicine, I see so many people suffering from a myriad of illnesses.  One of the first things I do with my patients is educate them about the importance of eating a healthy diet.  You see, eating the standard American diet (SAD) leads to gut and immune system problems.   The largest concentration of immune system cells is found in the gut.  In fact, most illnesses start in the gut including many you would not think of including:
Autoimmune diseases such as Lupus, multiple sclerosis, and type 1 diabetes

Time for a Flu Vaccine?

September 25, 2017

The flu and cold season is upon us.  I have already seen numerous patients suffering from upper respiratory illnesses and even weathered my first bout.
The CDC and the Powers-That-Be would have you believe that you should receive the influenza vaccine on a yearly basis. (1) They claim that the flu vaccine can save thousands of lives.  Of course, I have written to you many times that there is not a single study that has ever supported the claim that the flu vaccine saves any lives.  In fact, the history of the flu vaccine shows clearly that it fails nearly all who take it.
A recent article in Family Practice News (September 1, 2017, p. 10) was titled, “Inactivated quadrivalent influenza vaccine safe, effective.”  The article states, “An

Dramatically Improve Arthritic Joints

The Chickenpox Vaccine Disaster

April 17, 2017

When I was a child, nearly everybody became ill with chickenpox.  Like nearly all kids, when I became ill with it, I stayed home from school about a week and fully recovered.
All that changed in 1995, when the FDA licensed and approved the live attenuated chickenpox (varicella) vaccine in persons aged >12 months.  After the vaccine began to be used by most children, the incidence of chickenpox rapidly declined.  However, due to continual outbreaks of chickenpox, a second dose of the chickenpox vaccine was added to the childhood immunization schedule in 2006.
Is the chickenpox vaccine effective at significantly lowering the incidence of chickenpox?  Yes.  Due to the vaccine, there is a significantly lowered incidence of chickenpox.

Contaminated Vaccines

February 8, 2017

Italian researchers studied the safety of vaccines currently in use. (1)  They examined 44 types of vaccines to verify if there was physical contamination in the vaccines.  Although the vaccines were obtained from two countries (France and Italy), the same vaccine companies that supply the U.S. were used in this study.    Using an electron scanning microscope equipped with an X-ray microprobe, the researchers examined the vaccines to detect the presence of inorganic particulate contaminants.
The researchers found the presence of inorganic, foreign bodies in all human-use vaccines. In fact, the scientists claim that the foreign bodies they found contaminating the vaccines were not declared in the package insert from the manufacturer.  In other words, the Big

A Doctor Wants Safer Vaccines

January 12, 2017

A doctor writes about wanting vaccines free of toxic agents and you would think he was a mass murderer by the way other doctors and the media are beating him up.  This firestorm should convince everyone that something is terribly wrong with conventional medicine and the media.
Are we not allowed to question the wisdom and safety of any medical therapy?  Shouldn’t all medical therapies be held to a high standard of care?
Dr. Daniel Neides,  a family doctor and the director and chief operating officer of the Cleveland Clinic Wellness Institute wrote a blog post on the news site his concerns with childhood vaccines.  He wrote, “Does the vaccine burden – as has been debated for years – cause autism? I don’t know and will not debate that here. What I will stand

Mercury in Vaccines

December 19, 2016

Two recent studies have found that elevated mercury levels in children were found to be correlated with the development of autism.  The authors of the first study (1) evaluated 84 autistic children and matched them with 84 controls.  Levels of pro-inflammatory blood markers (neurokinin A and B—pro-inflammatory neuropeptides that indicate the presence of mercury in the blood) were measured.  The authors found a linear relationship between the Childhood Autism Rating Scale and both of the blood markers.  Children with autism had significantly higher levels of serum neurokinin A and B than healthy controls.
The second study (2) looked at the level of mercury poisoning in children by measuring the urinary excretion of porphyrins which are compounds which can act

Why Would Anyone Get the Flu Shot?

November 22, 2016

It is beyond belief that I have to continue to write about the problems with the flu vaccine.  The flu vaccine has a long history of not protecting the vast majority who receives if from becoming ill with the flu.  Nor does it change mortality rates.  Nor does it change hospitalization rates.
The flu vaccine is ineffective for the elderly—the most susceptible group recommended to receive annual injections.  Although the Powers-That-Be will say the flu vaccine is approximately 50% effective, the real data provides a different picture.  (I have written about this many times in my newsletter and in blog posts. Go here to read one post.
The Cochrane Collaboration, an independent group who does not take Big Pharma Cartel money has reported that the flu vaccine

Does Your Dentist Still Use Toxic Mercury?

October 26, 2016

(I am sorry that I have been lax at posting new articles here.  What is my excuse?  I have been finishing up a new book–book number 14– and I hope to go to print this week.  Later this week, I will send you more information about this project.)
I honestly can’t believe I am still writing about this topic.  Why anyone could think that mercury, one of the most toxic substances known to mankind, is safe to use as a dental filling is beyond ridiculous.
A study from the University of Georgia reported that surface restoration comprising mercury fillings significantly contributes to prolonged mercury levels in the body.  This study included nearly 15,000 individuals. (1)  The researchers reported that people with more than 8 mercury fillings had 150% more mercury
