Red Alert: A Revolution in Progress in the USA

In the last four months America has experienced violence and upheaval not seen since the Civil War. Widespread rioting and burning cities have been the order of the day. We have witnessed anarchy and destruction on an unprecedented scale. Our nation has been vilified and accused of being irredeemably racist. Ritual kneelings took place on all levels: from people in the streets to politicians in the highest echelons of our government. We have seen shameless pandering and the political class bitterly divided. We watched law enforcement standing by while the rioters looted and burned with impunity.
These events have caught most of us by surprise. Especially startling has been the speed with which these developments have unfolded. A

What Motivates America’s Revolutionists?

“Revolution is the solution, not voting!” chanted a group of kneeling protestors in Manhattan in June this year.
“Our fight for liberty, justice, and freedom continues. Together, we can — and will — transform. This is the revolution,” reads a posting on the website of Black Lives Matter. In the accompanying video the narrator says, “We continue the tradition of revolution. We feel earth shifting beneath our feet… Now it’s time to transform. Together change is coming.”
“Milwaukee’s Protest Leaders Say ‘This Is the Revolution’” proclaims last week’s magazine headline.
Another writer observes: “These are not just riots; this is a revolution to change America.”
“This Is a Revolution! ”declares the title of a piece on the website

Democrats’ Day of Infamy: The Pernicious Influence of Multiculturalism

September 19, 2020

On June 8 a group of some twenty leading Congressional Democrats – including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer – knelt down and bowed their heads in the Emancipation Hall of the US Capitol building in Washington in DC. Contrary to appearance, the purpose of this solemnity was not to honor God. The Democrats performed this act of self-abnegation in capitulation to Black Lives Matter whose members have been pressurizing citizens of this country to kneel down in acknowledgment of their claims and grievances. Black Lives Matter (BLM) is a Marxist organization that claims that America is an irredeemably racist and unjust society that oppresses black people. Because of this deeply rooted racism, BLM

Calling Chomsky Out: The Riots Are a Full-Fledged Attack by the Hard Left To Topple American Society

September 12, 2020

Professor Noam Chomsky, formerly of MIT, has the distinction of being the most frequently quoted academic and is arguably the best known public intellectual in the world. He recently gave an interview in which he spoke, among other things, about the BLM sponsored riots that are taking place across the United States. This is what he had to say on this subject:
“The Black Lives Matter protests which is a huge, incredible development: the biggest social movement in American history. A huge number of people involved spontaneously, solidarity black and white together, constructive goals, develop good programs, really great things happening… At the fringes they are people who are breaking windows, intimidating somebody at the

Ideological Kin: The Progressive Left Hold the Same Values As Tyrants and Oppressors

September 5, 2020

One the most frequently used debate tactics of today’s Left is comparing their opponents to tyrants of the past. Terms such as “Hitler,” “Stalin” and “Mao” are regularly hurled by the Woke against whoever opposes them, which usually happen to be some variety of conservatives. Levelling pejoratives at their interlocutors is, in fact, the progressive Left’s principal and most favored form of argument whenever their views are questioned.
By now we are all-too familiar with the following scenario which keeps repeating itself with monotonous predictability: A progressive makes a claim about our society or the nature of relations within it. An opponent counters this contention by presenting evidence to the contrary. Instead of engaging

The Aim of the Social Justice Movement Is the Subversion of Core Western Values

August 31, 2020

We have spoken previously about what the attacks on statues and churches that have been taking place as part of the so-called “anti-racism” protests reveal about the true nature of this movement. They show that these protests are not actuated by a desire to bring about racial justice, but by an aversion toward Western culture. It is not the elimination of non-existent racism that is the objective of this crusade. Its real goal is the destruction of liberal democracy.
Beneath the crass attacks on the physical artifacts of Western tradition, however, a less obvious but far more destructive assault is being launched: It is an assault on the core values and principles of Western civilization. It is an onslaught on the very values

Loathing the West: The Real Reason ‘Anti-Racism’ Protestors Desecrate Christian Churches

August 25, 2020

Though this be madness, yet there is method in’t.— William Shakespeare, Hamlet (Act II, Scene II)
“Last weekend, at least four Catholic Church-affiliated buildings and statues from Boston to Los Angeles were set on fire or vandalized. A blaze that gutted the 249-year-old San Gabriel Mission, once led by Father Junipero Serra, is being investigated as possible arson” reported the Washington Times on July 15. The piece was titled “’No place for God’: Left-wing protesters turn focus to churches as vandalism, arson escalate.”
The article quoted Catholic Action League Executive Director C. J. Doyle who said: “Given that there were four attacks on Catholic churches nationwide over a 48 hour period, from July 10 to July 12, suspicion,

The Myth of Systemic Racism: In America, Reverse Discrimination Is the Norm

August 21, 2020

In an earlier piece we have attempted to bring to light the real motives behind the “anti-racism” crusade which has been sweeping the Western world. We have argued that its objective is not to correct racial injustice but to subvert Western societies. The inability of social justice warriors to give genuine examples of societally sanctioned racism shows the true nature of this movement.
The most frequently used argument in support of the claim of systemic racism is the use of force by police against blacks, which it is claimed, is disproportional and racially motivated. This, it is said, is symptomatic of the intrinsically racist nature of American society which uses law enforcement to harass and oppress minorities.
There is a

The Real Target of ‘Anti-Racism’ Protests: Western Civilization, and Its Values

August 17, 2020

That Western civilization is in crisis has been obvious to some people for some time. The dramatic events of recent months in America and Europe have brought home with great vividness and immediacy the seriousness of this crisis. The protests and looting that swept through the United States quickly turned dozens of inner American cities into something akin to bombed out war zones. The surging wave of violence and anarchy, however, was not the only issue of deep concern. Equally alarming was our society’s response to it. Instead of taking measures to reestablish order and the rule of law, our political system malfunctioned at the moment of emergency. Fractious and paralyzed, the political establishment not only failed to implement

The Truth About the West: It’s the Only Non-Oppressive Civilization

August 3, 2020

“Hey, hey, ho, ho, Western Civ has got to go.”
— Jesse Jackson
“Western Civilization is not, for me, a curriculum of democracy and reason and greatness; it is a history of inequality and oppression,” writes Scott Ross, a teacher. Mr. Ross is by no means a rare ideological outlier among his peers. The view he holds has been taught and propagated at universities across the United States and Western Europe for decades. The situation has become so dire that Yale University has recently cancelled its formerly excellent course called “Introduction to Art History: Renaissance to the Present,” because it was allegedly too Eurocentric. Some among the shrinking number of universities that still offer such courses use them merely as a

The Great Corona Con: Exposing Journalistic Malpractice

July 28, 2020

On July 5th of this year – following weeks of steady decline – the United States recorded 263 deaths from COVID-19. This was the lowest daily toll in nearly three and half months. The July 5th figure represented a 90 percent drop from the peak which occurred April 21st. On that day there were 2748 deaths from COVID-19 (see for data).
The sharp decrease in COVID deaths was obviously a most welcome development. One would expect it would have quickly generated a spate of celebratory headlines. However, this is not what happened that day.
Below is a collection of links to some of the news items put forward by US media on July 5:
MORE COVID PEAK: Florida infected rise by record 11,458 on Saturday…57,683 cases single

Exposing Deception: Minimal Risk to the Healthy From COVID-19

July 16, 2020

According to recent polls, 75 percent of Americans worry about their communities re-opening too soon from the corona lockdowns. More than eight in ten say they are likely to stay home if there is a new spike of cases in the area where they live. And by a margin of almost four to one, most Americans believe the U.S. economy is being reopened too quickly rather than too slowly.
These figures indicate that the majority of us believe we are in the midst of a dangerous epidemic. The levels of anxiety and fear have reached such a high pitch that an earlier survey found that many Americans thought that extreme measures – such as complete closure of K-12 schools and most businesses – were justified to mitigate the threat posed by the

Love of Ancestors and American History

July 9, 2020

In the past few weeks we have watched the widespread vandalization of statues and memorials dedicated to men who played a pivotal role in the story of our nation. Among the targets were such giants of American history as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant.
The purge was carried out on the charge of racism. Something, however, did not add up. A number of the men whose statues were desecrated were well ahead of their time in their views of race and they did much to further the cause of black people. But the vandals would hear none of it, which came as a surprise to many. There is, however, nothing surprising about their actions once we understand what they are truly after.

America in Crisis: Correcting the Narrative

July 2, 2020

Last week we wrote about the endemic dysfunction in our institutional system to draw attention to something that is becoming increasingly obvious to ever more Americans: Our country is in the grip of existential crisis. We also said that this crisis represents an opportunity for laying a foundation for better times to come. But to seize this opportunity fully, we must first understand what out trouble is about and what are the forces that have brought us to the situation we are in now.
The official narrative pushed by the Left – which includes the mainstream media, the Democrat political establishment, the education system, high-tech elites, and corporate and financial coteries – is that our crisis is due to systemic racism which

America in Crisis: The Predicament

June 25, 2020

The protests and riots that convulsed America in the last few weeks and our reaction to these events revealed something that many of us would prefer not to hear: our society is in the throes of profound existential crisis.
Evening after evening we watched as the marauding mobs laid waste to urban areas. Looting, pillage, arson, theft, beatings and killings took place on a scale not seen in generations. Downtowns of dozens of American cities were ripped apart by violence and parts of them burned and ravaged beyond recognition. Even as this brazen violence and criminal destruction were taking place in plain sight, the law enforcement was kept from doing its job. The police were forced to stand by and watch even while they

Twilight Zone USA

June 19, 2020

Growing up in a communist regime was like living in a twilight zone where everything had gone topsy-turvy. If you’ve never been to a twilight zone, it is a most curious phenomenon. It comes into existence when in a certain country or a geographic location a blatantly false narrative takes hold of the collective psyche.
The narrative of the twilight zone of my youth went roughly as follows: Socialism was the greatest socio-economic system ever devised while capitalism was very, very bad. The Soviet Union was a paradisiacal land of freedom, opportunity, prosperity and happiness. The United States, on the other hand, was a country of exploitation and oppression where most people were bound, destitute and miserable. This official

The Truth About America: Why We Are Not a Racist Nation

June 12, 2020

“Racism in America is not the exception – it’s the norm,” read a headline from the British Guardian the other day.
“2 viruses — COVID and racism — devastate the black community and threaten America’s stability, declares an ABC News piece.
“Not just George Floyd: Police departments have 400-year history of racism,” headlines an USA Today article.
“We need to tackle racism, and we’ve never really dealt with it,” asserted a protester at one of the many rallies that have taken place in recent weeks.
A great deal, indeed, has been recently said from many quarters about the alleged oppressiveness and racism of American society. Even though these denunciations have been delivered in impassioned voices and accompanied by much violence,
